PLAY & WELLBEING:
Creative Guild

PLAY & WELLBEING:Adults, Let’s Play for Real.
Mental Health × Intergenerational Exchange × Cross-Cultural Connection
We take work seriously. We take learning seriously. But when was the last time we took play seriously?
Creative Guild is built around a simple idea: a better future can begin with fun. For this special evening, we are bringing together wellbeing – especially mental health – with intergenerational and cross-cultural exchange.
We’ll share snacks, play games, listen to a powerful story, meet people we might not normally meet, and make some room to talk about how we are really doing.
As adults, our days easily become filled with work, family, responsibilities and expectations. Along the way, we sometimes forget how important it is to move, laugh, make mistakes, ask for help and connect with other people.
This time, Creative Guild is stepping beyond its usual Minato City setting and heading to Nishinippori. Your Japanese or English does not need to be perfect. Let’s begin with play – and see what kinds of connections can grow from there.

What We’ll Explore
Our main guest is Jon Pritikin, known for his “Feel the Power” presentations. Jon combines powerful physical demonstrations with personal stories about adversity, self-esteem, identity and overcoming difficult experiences.
His performance and story will open up a wider conversation with participants around questions such as:
- What does it really mean to be strong?
- What helps us when life becomes difficult?
- What role can play and human connection have in our mental wellbeing?
- How could we make a little more room for play and conversation at work or in our communities?
This will be an interactive session rather than a traditional one-way seminar. You do not need to put on a cheerful face or share anything personal. You are welcome to speak, listen or pass, and participate at your own pace.

Different Languages. A Shared Invitation.
Key questions and the main points of conversations will be supported in Japanese and English as needed. This is not a continuous simultaneous-interpretation service, but we’ll help participants communicate across the two languages. You’re free to play, talk, listen or watch for a while. There’s no need to perform – just join at your own pace.
Let’s take time to play.
And make a little space to talk about how we are doing.
