Kakehashi: Inbound Tourism Seminar — Session 1

Back to the Japanese version.

International visitors pass by your shop, step inside, and browse your products or menu. What could help turn those encounters into purchases and return visits?

On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, Hashi × Minamoto will host a free, small-group seminar in Tamachi, Tokyo. The focus is on identifying missed opportunities with international customers and choosing a practical first step.

The session is designed for owners and managers of shops and service businesses, including restaurants, retailers, and accommodation providers.

Helping Your Business Connect with International Customers

A menu that customers cannot read. Staff who seem difficult to approach. A shop that does not appear when visitors search Google Maps.

Even when products and services are appealing, small barriers can prevent purchases, reviews, and return visits.

This seminar explores those barriers through three perspectives: language, service, and discoverability.

Instead of a slide presentation, participants will spend 90 minutes discussing their experiences, sharing ideas on a whiteboard, and thinking together. No English proficiency or AI knowledge is required. Those just beginning to welcome international customers are also welcome.

Find, Explore, and Decide

The session follows three steps:

  1. Find: Work in groups to identify missed opportunities in your business.
  2. Explore: Deepen your understanding through examples, the three perspectives, a live assessment of one business, and ways to use AI.
  3. Decide: Write down a first action to take in your own business.

Participants will leave with three perspectives, one missed opportunity to address, and one first step. The aim is to choose one action you can begin with.
