台風の進路が気になって予定を変える。突然の大雨で電車が止まり、道路が冠水する。猛暑で外出を控え、仕事の進め方を見直す。反対に雨が少なければ、水不足や農作物への影響が心配になる。

天気は、いつの間にか、単なる挨拶の話題ではなくなってきました。私たちの暮らしや仕事、健康、地域の安全に関わる、とても身近な問題です。

では、実際に何が起きているのでしょうか。技術には何ができるのでしょうか。そして、企業や地域、私たち一人ひとりが動き始めるために、コミュニティにはどのような役割があるのでしょうか。

今回のヨリミチ部では、環境、技術、人財・組織、コミュニティの異なる視点を持つ3人のゲストをお迎えします。天気という身近な入口から、これからの時代の暮らしと仕事の在り方を、ゆるく、楽しく、でも真剣に、みんなで対話しながら捉え直していきます。

気候変動について詳しくなくても大丈夫です。天気の話をするような気軽さで、ぜひご参加ください。

開催概要

ピノ・カトリンさんは英語で登壇する予定です。英語での登壇には、機械字幕等によるコミュニケーションサポートを予定しています。

テーマについて

気候変動は、世界中で大きな問題として注目されています。しかし、あまりに大きなテーマだからこそ、どこか遠い世界の話や、環境の専門家だけが考える問題のように感じることもあります。

一方、私たちが日常で感じている大雨や猛暑、水不足などは、住まい、移動、健康、農業、エネルギー、企業活動、防災など、暮らしと仕事のさまざまな場面につながっています。

気候変動への対応を進めるためには、環境についての専門知識だけでなく、新しい技術を開発して社会で活用すること、人や組織が実際に動くこと、そして異なる立場の人たちがつながり、学び合うことも必要です。

今回は、大手自動車メーカーで技術開発やマネジメントに携わりながら、部門や企業を越えて未来を話す「Future Meeting」を運営する石川 謙さん、人財・組織づくりの実務と企業間コミュニティに関わり、若者・企業・地域の共創にも参加する北川 竜さん、そして気候・エネルギー経済学を専門に、政策や制度の設計と気候分野のコミュニティづくりに取り組むピノ・カトリンさんの3人をお迎えします。

環境の専門知、大手メーカーにおける技術や人財・組織の実務、そして立場を越えて人をつなぐコミュニティの経験を持ち寄り、気候変動というテーマに技術とコミュニティの両面から切り込んでいきます。

2027年に横浜で開催されるGREEN×EXPO 2027も、グリーン、技術、地域の共創を考える一つのきっかけです。大きなイベントを一過性のものにせず、私たちの仕事や地域、日々の行動へどうつなげていけるのかについても考えます。

みんなで考えたいこと

当日は、3人の専門的なお話を手がかりに、参加者のみなさんとも次のような問いを考えていきます。

• 最近、そしてこれからの気候の変化を、私たちはどのように受け止めればよいのでしょうか？
• 気候変動は、暮らしや仕事のどこで「自分の問題」になるのでしょうか？
• 技術には何ができ、何を技術だけに任せてはいけないのでしょうか？
• 知識や技術を実際の行動へつなげるために、人や組織、コミュニティには何が必要でしょうか？
• そのために、私たち自身が今からできる一歩は何でしょうか？

ヨリミチ部は、専門家の話を一方的に聴き、正解を持ち帰るだけの場ではありません。異なる立場や経験を持つ人たちが集まり、それぞれが感じていることや疑問を持ち寄りながら、少し先の未来について一緒に考える場です。

石川 謙さん

大手自動車メーカーの技術者・マネージャー。スポーツカーの開発や海外拠点での提案活動などを経験し、技術と事業の現場に長く携わっています。

2019年から、部門、会社、業界を越えて未来について話すコミュニティ「Future Meeting」に参加し、現在はリーダーとして活動しています。技術者としての現場感覚と、人がゆるやかにつながるコミュニティの両面から、技術を暮らしや社会に生かすために必要なことを考えます。

北川 竜さん

大手自動車メーカーの人事として、採用、人財育成、働き方改革、DEI推進、組織開発などに携わってきました。また、組織や企業の枠を越えて人が学びあう実践的なコミュニティづくりにも関わっています。

ヨコハマ未来創造会議の若者実行委員として、GREEN×EXPO 2027を契機とした若者、企業、地域の共創活動にも参加。人や組織が社会変化を自分ごととして捉え、動き始めるための条件について探究しています。

ピノ・カトリン（Katherine Pineault）さん

気候・エネルギー経済学者。エネルギー転換、気候ファイナンス、脱炭素、気候レジリエンス、適応策などを専門とし、政府、自治体、エネルギー企業などに向けた政策提言や制度・プログラム設計に携わってきました。

気候分野に関わる人たちが、専門や立場の違いを越えて学び合い、対話するコミュニティも運営しています。気候変動について現在分かっていることや、すでに起きている影響にどう備えるかを、政策とコミュニティの両面から考えます。

ヨリミチ部とは？

ヨリミチ部は、いつもとは少し違う人たちと、少し違う会話を楽しむ井戸端会議です。

港区立産業振興センターのコミュニティ形成プログラムとして定期的に開催し、ゲストのお話を一方向に聴くだけではなく、参加者同士もつながり、新しい発見やチャレンジが生まれる場をお届けしています。

リアル会場では、ドリンクやスナックを囲みながら気軽に交流。オンラインでも配信するため、会場に来られない方は、ラジオ感覚で耳だけ参加することもできます。

初めての方も、お一人で参加される方も大歓迎です。年齢、肩書き、立場、国籍、言葉は関係ありません。途中からの参加や途中退出も、もちろんOKです。

外国籍の参加者もおり、日本の方が英語で、海外の方が日本語で話してみるなど、いつもとは少し違うチャレンジも楽しめます。

また、ヨリミチ部で生まれたつながりや活動は、Creative Guildが継続的にサポートしています。イベントでの出会いが、新しいコミュニティやプロジェクト、仕事、そして人生の次の一歩へつながる可能性も広がっています。

Can We Talk About the Weather?
Rethinking How We Live and Work Through Climate Change, Technology, and Community

You check the path of a typhoon and change your plans. A sudden downpour stops the trains and floods the roads. Extreme heat makes you stay indoors and rethink how you work. And when there is too little rain, concerns turn to water shortages and their impact on crops.

Before we knew it, weather had become more than a topic for small talk. It is now something that directly affects our daily lives, our work, our health, and the safety of our communities.

So what is actually happening? What can technology do? And what role can communities play in helping companies, local areas, and each of us begin to act?

For this YORIMICHI Club session, we will welcome three guests who bring different perspectives from the worlds of climate and the environment, technology, people and organizations, and community building. Starting with something as familiar as the weather, we will rethink how we live and work in the years ahead—casually and enjoyably, but also seriously—through dialogue with everyone in the room.

You do not need to be an expert on climate change. Please join us with the same ease as starting a conversation about the weather.

Katherine is expected to speak in English. Communication support, including machine-generated captions, is planned for the English-language portions of the session.

About the Theme

Climate change is receiving worldwide attention as one of the defining issues of our time. Yet precisely because the subject is so large, it can sometimes feel distant—something for environmental specialists or policymakers to think about rather than something connected to our own lives.

At the same time, the heavy rain, extreme heat, and water shortages we experience in everyday life are connected with housing, mobility, health, agriculture, energy, business activity, disaster preparedness, and many other aspects of how we live and work.

Moving climate action forward requires more than environmental expertise. It also requires new technologies to be developed and put to use in society, people and organizations that are ready to act, and opportunities for people in different positions to connect and learn from one another.

Our three guests bring these perspectives together: Ken Ishikawa, who works in technology development and management at a major automotive manufacturer while leading “Future Meeting,” a community for discussing the future across departmental and corporate boundaries; Ryu Kitagawa, who works in people and organizational development, is involved in cross-company communities, and participates in co-creation among young people, companies, and local communities; and Katherine Pineault, a climate and energy economist working on policy and institutional design as well as community building in the climate field.

By combining environmental expertise, hands-on experience in technology and organizational practice at a major manufacturer, and community experience that connects people across different positions, we will explore climate change from both technological and community perspectives.

GREEN×EXPO 2027 in Yokohama will also provide an important opportunity to think about co-creation across green initiatives, technology, and local communities. We will consider how a major event like this can become more than a one-off occasion—and how it can connect to our work, our communities, and the actions we take every day.

• Where does climate change become “my issue” in everyday life and work?
• What can technology do, and what should we not leave to technology alone?
• What do people, organizations, and communities need in order to turn knowledge and technology into real action?

YORIMICHI Club is not a place where experts simply provide answers for participants to take home. It is a place where people with different backgrounds and experiences bring their own questions and perspectives, and think together about the future just ahead of us.

Ken Ishikawa

Engineer and manager at a major automotive manufacturer. He has extensive experience at the intersection of technology and business, including sports-car development and proposal activities at overseas operations.

Since 2019, he has participated in “Future Meeting,” a community where people discuss the future across departmental, corporate, and industry boundaries, and he now serves as one of its leaders. Drawing on both his hands-on perspective as an engineer and his experience building loose, cross-boundary communities, he explores what is needed to put technology to work for people and society.

Ryu Kitagawa

As an HR professional at a major automotive manufacturer, he has been involved in recruitment, talent development, workplace transformation, advancing DEI, and organizational development. He also helps build practice-oriented communities where people can learn from one another across organizational and corporate boundaries.

As a member of the Youth Executive Committee of the Yokohama Future Creation Council, he participates in co-creation initiatives that bring together young people, businesses, and local communities, with GREEN×EXPO 2027 serving as a catalyst. He explores what enables people and organizations to see societal change as personally relevant and begin taking action.

Katherine Pineault

Climate and energy economist specializing in energy transition, climate finance, decarbonization, climate resilience, and adaptation. She has worked on policy recommendations as well as the design of institutions and programs for governments, local authorities, energy companies, and other stakeholders.

She also facilitates communities where people working on climate issues can learn from one another and engage in dialogue across differences in expertise and position. She will help us think about what we currently know about climate change, how we can prepare for impacts that are already occurring, and what policy and community can each contribute.

What Is YORIMICHI Club?

YORIMICHI Club is a casual conversation space where you can meet people who are a little different from the people you usually meet—and enjoy conversations that are a little different from the ones you usually have.

It is held regularly as part of the community-building program of the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center. Rather than simply listening to guest speakers, participants connect with one another, discover new perspectives, and sometimes find the seeds of new challenges.

At the in-person venue, people can chat casually over drinks and snacks. The event is also streamed online, so if you cannot make it to the venue, you are welcome to join just by listening—almost like tuning in to a radio program.

First-time participants and people attending on their own are very welcome. Age, title, position, nationality, and language do not matter. Joining late or leaving early is completely fine.

International participants also join us, and we enjoy small cross-cultural challenges—for example, Japanese participants trying English, or international participants trying Japanese.

The connections and activities that emerge through YORIMICHI Club are also supported on an ongoing basis by Creative Guild. An encounter at one event may lead to a new community, project, job, collaboration, or simply the next meaningful step in someone’s life.
