さいちゅう・ファンラボ 〜食と暮らしとつながりをみんなで考える〜

毎日の暮らしに欠かせない「食べること」。
何を食べるかだけでなく、誰と食べるのか、どこで食べるのか、どんな気持ちで食卓を囲むのか。食には、栄養や身体の健康だけでは語りきれない、人とのつながりや暮らしの豊かさが詰まっています。
東京都済生会中央病院を起点に、医療・企業・地域・生活者など、さまざまな人が立場を越えて対話する「さいちゅう・ファンラボ」。今回は、「食べることから考える健康」をテーマに、食を取り巻く問題や可能性について、みんなで考えていきます。

食べることから、健康について考えてみる

これまで、さいちゅう・ファンラボでは、医療と社会の関係や、病院と地域がどのようにつながっていけるのかについて対話を重ねてきました。前回は「済生会フェア」をテーマに、病院をもっと地域に開き、健康や医療について身近に考える場の可能性を、参加者のみなさんと探究しました。
そこから見えてきたテーマのひとつが「食」です。
たとえば、高齢化や単身世帯の増加などによって、一人で食事をする「孤食」は私たちの身近なものになっています。一人で食べることそのものが問題なのではありません。しかし、「本当は誰かと食べたい」「食事を準備することが負担になってきた」「買い物や外出する機会が減った」といった状況の背景には、身体的な健康だけでなく、孤独・孤立や地域とのつながりといった問題が隠れていることがあります。
一方で、食には人をつなぐ力もあります。誰かと食卓を囲むこと。お気に入りのお店へ出かけること。地域の食材を知ること。料理をつくること。誰かに食べてもらうこと。
「健康」を身体の状態だけで捉えるのではなく、食べることを通じて、人がどのように暮らし、人とつながり、毎日を楽しんでいけるのか。 今回は、そんなところまで視野を広げて考えてみたいと思います。

情報を共有し、対話し、インサイトを整理する

当日は、まず食や健康に関わる方々から、現場で起きていることや問題意識、実践例などを共有いただきます。その後は一方向の講演ではなく、参加者のみなさんの経験や疑問も持ち寄りながら対話します。
最後には、そこで生まれた気づきや問い、可能性を「インサイト」として整理し、今後のさいちゅう・ファンラボや済生会フェアなどで、さらに探究していくテーマにつなげていきます。
今回は、答えを決めるための場ではありません。「食べることから健康を考えてみたら、何が見えてくるだろう？」 そんな身近な問いから、医療と地域、そして私たち自身の暮らしについて、一緒に考えてみませんか。

Saichu Fan Lab — Exploring Food, Everyday Life, and Human Connection Together

Eating is one of the most familiar and essential parts of everyday life. Health is shaped not only by what we eat, but also by who we eat with, where we eat, and how we feel around the table.
Saichu Fan Lab is a dialogue-based initiative centered at Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital, bringing together people from healthcare, business, local communities, and everyday life. This time, we will explore the theme “Thinking About Health Through Eating.”

Looking at health through the everyday act of eating

Saichu Fan Lab has continued to explore how healthcare relates to society and how hospitals and local communities can connect. One theme emerging from previous dialogue around the Saiseikai Fair was food.
Eating alone is not inherently a problem. However, wanting to eat with someone but having no one available, finding meal preparation difficult, or going out and shopping less often can sometimes be connected to health, loneliness and isolation, and reduced contact with the local community. At the same time, food can connect people through shared tables, local ingredients, cooking, and everyday encounters.

Sharing information, creating dialogue, and organizing insights

The session will combine short inputs from people involved in food and health with participant dialogue. We will organize the observations, questions, and possibilities that emerge as shared insights for future Saichu Fan Lab sessions and discussions around the Saiseikai Fair.
