港区を起点にいろんなところで働く・暮らす、楽しい時間を創りたい人たちによるコミュニティCreative Guild。このギルド名鑑ではそんなCreative Guildでつながったユニークな方々をご紹介しています。今回ご紹介するのはインターナショナルプリスクール Pikkasを運営する、株式会社サステナブルエデュケーション　代表取締役 中川 早智子さん。子どもと保護者と教職員の“三方よし”を軸に、心地よく楽しく未来を育んでいます。

オーストラリアやドイツでの教育現場の経験を経て、日本でのグローバル教育の重要性を痛感した中川早智子さん。2024年に株式会社サステナブルエデュケーションを設立し、港区芝浦にインターナショナルプリスクール「Pikkas」を開園しました（Creative Guildの拠点がある港区立産業振興センターのすぐ近く！）。その特徴はアドラー心理学やフィンランド教育など、多様な教育哲学を取り入れ、子ども・保護者・教職員すべてにとって“心地よい学びの場”を提供しています。とくに英語で遊び、楽しみながら学び、探究心を育むことで、関わる一人ひとりの未来の可能性を世界に向けて大きく広げています。

そんな中川さんが大切にしていることは、ひとことでいってしまえば「人間的尊重」。それは子どもであっても、大人であっても、年齢や立場、価値観などを超えて尊重する、非常に根源的かつ重要な“ひと”としての在り方です。そして子どもたちの教育に目を向けているのは、未来への想いにほかなりません。またそのプロセスは、現役世代である保護者や教職員にも確実に影響を与え、社会にも波紋のように広がっていく可能性を秘めています。だからこそ中川さんは、プリスクールという形で港区から活動を展開しているのです。

現代社会は非常に複雑性が高く、確実に大きな転換期を迎えています。そのなかで、より良い未来に進むための最も確実な方法は、「自ら創造すること」にほかなりません。だからこそ、多様性につながる力や、ものごとの本質を探究する力、そしてそこから新たな可能性に踏み出す創造的な力が今、求められています。

中川さんの取り組みは、まさにその力を、子どもたちを中心に、大人たちも巻き込みながら共に育んでいくもの。子ども＝次世代を育むと同時に大人＝現役世代も多くを学び、今できる前向きな変化から未来へのムーブメントを創り始めています。しかも “楽しみながら”。「“楽しい”から始まる未来づくり」をコンセプトに掲げるCreative Guildとしても、学ぶべきことは少なくありません。このつながりをきっかけに、ぜひ中川さんの“三方よし”の輪を、みんなで広げていきたいですね！

Nurturing a Comfortable Future Comfortably
The “Three-Way Win” of Learning Delivered by Ms. Sachiko Nakagawa of Pikkas

Creative Guild is a community of people who want to create enjoyable moments while working and living in various places, all starting from Minato City. In this “Guild Directory,” we introduce the unique individuals brought together by Creative Guild. This time, we feature Ms. Sachiko Nakagawa, CEO of Sustainable Education Inc. and operator of the international preschool Pikkas. Centered on a “three-way win” for children, parents, and staff, she is comfortably and joyfully cultivating our future.

After gaining experience in educational settings in Australia and Germany, Ms. Nakagawa keenly felt the importance of global education in Japan. In 2024, she founded Sustainable Education Inc. and opened the international preschool Pikkas in Shibaura, Minato City (just a stone’s throw from the Minato City’s Industrial Promotion Center where Creative Guild is based!). Drawing on diverse educational philosophies—including Adlerian psychology and Finnish education—Pikkas provides a “comfortable learning environment” for children, parents, and staff alike. Through play in English and learning in fun, engaging ways that foster inquisitiveness, each individual’s future possibilities expand on a global scale.

At the heart of Ms. Nakagawa’s work is what she succinctly calls “respect for humanity.” This means seeing both children and adults—regardless of age, position, or values—as inherently worthy of deep respect. Her focus on children’s education reflects her dedication to the future. Moreover, the process she enacts has a tangible impact on today’s parents and staff, carrying the potential to ripple out into the wider community. That is precisely why she has chosen to launch her activities in Minato City through the preschool model.

Our modern world is remarkably complex and undoubtedly at a major turning point. In such times, the most certain way to move toward a better future is by creating it ourselves. That is why we now need the capacity to embrace diversity, the ability to explore the essence of things, and the creativity to open up new possibilities.

Ms. Nakagawa’s initiative is all about developing these skills—starting with children and extending to adults—so that everyone grows together. By nurturing children (the next generation) and simultaneously encouraging adults (the current generation) to learn, she is sparking a future movement through positive change, right here and now—and having fun in the process. For Creative Guild, whose concept is “Creating the Future Starting From ‘Fun,’” there is so much to learn. Through this connection, let’s work together to spread the circle of Ms. Nakagawa’s “three-way win” even further!
