港区を起点にいろんなところで働く・暮らす、楽しい時間を創りたい人たちによるコミュニティCreative Guild。このギルド名鑑ではそんなCreative Guildでつながったユニークな方々をご紹介しています。今回ご紹介するのは、作詞家でAGEHARIDe株式会社の代表を務めるKenn Katoさん。数々の楽曲を手がけてきたKatoさんは、港区などで、地域とドローンと音楽を組み合わせたエンターテイメントづくりに取り組み、新しいひととひとのつながりを築いています。

高校時代にバンド活動を始めたKatoさん。日本航空に勤務しながら音楽活動を続け、音楽と言葉への関心を重ねて作詞の道へ。EXILE、BoA、倖田來未など、数多くのアーティストの楽曲を手がけてきました。現在はAGEHARIDe株式会社で、音楽とドローンによる光の演出を融合させる「LIGHTDANCe」を展開。港区をはじめ、三重や神戸などで、観光や地域の魅力と結びつけた体験づくりに取り組んでいます。また、港区観光協会にも参画し、地域のひとのつながりを丁寧に紡いでいます。初の著書『コトバライド──歌詞（ことば）に乗せた未来』も、2026年12月18日にリットーミュージックから発売予定です。

その根底にあるのは「融合」です。竹芝で行われた結婚祝いのショーでは、二人が好きなアジフライのモチーフや、Katoさんが書き下ろした散文詩を夜空に描き、祝福を届けました。身近な思いやアイデアが、音楽や技術と出会い、共に喜べる体験になる。そこには、異なる分野の力を重ね、人の心に届く表現を創る姿勢が見えてきます。自分の喜びを分かち合い、人の喜びも自分の喜びとして感じられる。そんな関係を育むことが、Katoさんの描くエンターテイメントにつながっています。

私たちはつい、限られたパイを取り合ったり、目に見える規模や派手さに目を奪われたりしがちです。また、利害関係の複雑さから、できる範囲で確実なものを選ぶだけにとどまることも。一見手軽で安全な選択を重ねるうちに、まだ試していない可能性まで閉じてしまってはいないでしょうか。人がつながり合えば、それぞれの経験やアイデアから新しい可能性が生まれ、パイそのものを育てていくこともできる。互いの力を持ち寄り、共に新しい価値を創っていく。そんな意識へのシフトが必要なのではないでしょうか。

Katoさんが見据えるのは、こうした体験から生まれたつながりを、次の挑戦へ育てていくことです。多様な人が集まり、アイデアを持ち寄り、共に企画を動かす。その経験から新しい担い手が育ち、さらに仲間や分野が加わっていく。そんな共創が続くモデルや仕組みを描いています。作り手にも、受け手にも、地域にも、次の可能性が残る。自分の経験や小さなアイデアも、誰かとつながれば面白くなるかもしれない。これもまた、“楽しい”から始まる未来づくりの一つの大事な形ですね。

Lyricist Kenn Kato brings communities, drones, and music together through co-creation

Creative Guild is a community rooted in Tokyo’s Minato City, bringing together people who work and live in many different places and want to create enjoyable moments. This Guild Directory introduces the distinctive people whose paths have crossed through Creative Guild. This time, we meet lyricist Kenn Kato, who leads AGEHARIDe Inc. Having written lyrics for numerous songs, Kato is now creating entertainment that combines local communities, drones, and music in Minato City and beyond, building new connections between people.

Kato began playing in a band in high school. He continued making music while working at Japan Airlines, and his growing interest in music and language led him to a career as a lyricist. He has written lyrics for a wide range of artists, including EXILE, BoA, and Kumi Koda. Today, through AGEHARIDe Inc., he develops LIGHTDANCe, which brings music together with drone light displays. In Minato City, Mie, Kobe, and other locations, he works to create experiences connected to tourism and the distinctive appeal of each community. He also participates in the Minato City Tourism Association, carefully nurturing relationships with people in the area. His first book, 『コトバライド──歌詞（ことば）に乗せた未来』, is also scheduled for release by Rittor Music on December 18, 2026.

At the heart of his work is the idea of bringing different elements together. At a wedding celebration show in Takeshiba, images of the couple’s favorite fried horse mackerel and a prose poem written by Kato appeared in the night sky as a tribute to the newlyweds. Personal feelings and everyday ideas meet music and technology, becoming an experience people can enjoy together. This reflects his approach to combining the strengths of different fields to create expressions that touch people’s hearts. Sharing our own joy, and feeling someone else’s joy as our own: nurturing these relationships is part of the entertainment Kato envisions.

We can easily find ourselves competing for a limited share of the pie, or focusing on visible scale and spectacle. Complex interests can also lead us to choose only what feels certain and manageable. As we repeat choices that seem easy and safe, might we be closing off possibilities we have yet to explore? When people connect, their experiences and ideas can give rise to new possibilities—and help the pie itself grow. Bringing our strengths together to create new value may call for a shift in how we think.

Kato looks ahead to how the connections formed through these experiences can grow into future endeavors. People from different backgrounds come together, share ideas, and bring projects to life. Through that experience, new contributors develop, and more people and fields become involved. He envisions models and structures that allow this kind of co-creation to continue, leaving fresh possibilities for creators, audiences, and local communities alike. Perhaps our own experiences and small ideas could become something exciting when connected with someone else’s. This, too, is a meaningful way to shape the future, starting with enjoyment.
