～7/3 島根県松江市ワーケーションつながるNIGHT（交流会） 開催 レポート～

地方と都市をつなぐ実践的なプログラム「松江式ワーケーション」。その取り組みをより多くの人に知ってもらうべく、2025年7月3日に東京で初のオフライン交流会「島根県松江市ワーケーションつながるNIGHT（交流会）」が港区立産業振興センターにて開催されました。当日は実際に松江市でのワーケーションを実践してきた多彩なゲストによる事例紹介とともに、参加者同士の対話と交流も充実。松江市との“楽しい”から始まる未来づくりが動き出す夜となりました。

今回のイベントは松江市が主催。そこに港区立産業振興センターとCreative Guildが連携して、東京で松江市のワーケーションをフィーチャーするという形で開催しました進行は松江市のワーケーション事業を担っているワークアット株式会社のみなさん。松江市の産業経済部定住企業立地推進課のみなさんからこの活動の意義を伝えていただいた後は、いよいよゲストのトークセッション。ゲストにはLinkedIn  Japan 株式会社をはじめとする“超”有名企業に所属しながら松江市にワーケーションに参画された方々。個人として、企業として松江市でワーケーションを行う価値について熱く語ってくださいました。

松江市のワーケーションのの魅力は、ストレスケアや地域のコミュニケーション、セキュリティも整備されたワーク環境。リモートワークで普段の仕事をしながら、宍道湖に代表される「水の都松江」の自然に触れながら、ストレスマネジメントやマインドフルネスを学ぶ機会を提供。組織のチームビルディングに非常に優れた環境です。また羽田空港から松江市街地まで約2時間で移動できるというアクセスの良さも魅力。もちろん城下町と栄えた歴史から、食も充実。新型コロナウィルスの影響が大きい2020年に事業をスタートしましたが、これまでに延べ約100社・約190名の方たちが参加し、人気を博しています。

イベント当日にはそんな松江市のワーケーションに実際に参加したことがある方はもちろんのこと、関心を持ってくださったビジネスパーソン約50名が参加。ゲストの話に興味深く耳を傾けるだけでなく、ネットワーキングタイムも非常に活発に情報交換。さらに会場を変えての懇親会にも運営関係者含め30名近くの方が参加し、深夜まで“楽しい”時間が共有されていきました。最高に素敵なのは、単に松江市のワーケーション参加に話が留まらなかったこと。このつながりからどんな未来が可能になるのか、そのために何が一緒にできるのか、そんな広くて深くてエネルギッシュな時間を過ごすことができました。

Connecting Local Ragions and Cities: New Ways to Work and Meet
~July 3rd Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture Workation “Tsunagaru NIGHT” Report~

“Matsue-style Workation,” a practical program connecting rural and urban areas, held its first offline networking event in Tokyo on July 3, 2025, at the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center. The goal was to introduce this initiative to a wider audience. The event featured diverse guest speakers who had experienced workations in Matsue City, alongside active discussions and exchanges among participants. It was a night where future-building, starting with “fun” in Matsue City, began to take shape.

The event was organized by Matsue City, with the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center and Creative Guild, bringing the Matsue City workation experience to Tokyo. The team from Workat Inc., who manage Matsue City’s workation program, facilitated the event. After an introduction on the significance of the program from the Matsue City Industrial Economy Department’s Division for Promoting Relocation and Business Investment, the much-anticipated guest talk session began. The guests included individuals from “super” well-known companies, such as LinkedIn Japan, who had participated in workations in Matsue City. They passionately shared the value of conducting workations in Matsue City, both as individuals and as companies.

The appeal of Matsue City’s workation lies in its comprehensive environment for stress care, local communication, and a well-equipped, secure work setting. Participants can perform their usual remote work while connecting with the nature of “Matsue, the City of Water,” represented by Lake Shinji. It offers opportunities for stress management and mindfulness, making it an excellent environment for organizational team building. Its accessibility is also a major draw, with travel time from Haneda Airport to central Matsue taking approximately two hours. Of course, as a historic castle town, it boasts a rich culinary scene. The program, which started in 2020 amid the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, has since gained popularity, with approximately 100 companies and 190 individuals participating to date.

On the day of the event, around 50 business professionals attended, including those who had experienced a Matsue City workation and others who were simply interested. They not only listened intently to the guest speakers but also engaged in very active information exchange during the networking time. Furthermore, nearly 30 people, including event staff, participated in an after-party at a different venue, sharing “fun” until late into the night. What was truly wonderful was that the conversations didn’t just stop at participating in Matsue City’s workation. We spent a broad, deep, and energetic time exploring what kind of future could be possible from these connections and what we could achieve together.
