Creative Guildは、港区を起点に、いろんなところで働き、暮らしながら、楽しい時間を創りたい人たちによるコミュニティです。このギルド名鑑では、そんなCreative Guildでつながったユニークな方々をご紹介しています。今回ご紹介するのは、株式会社プランチャ代表取締役の成重 敏夫さん。北九州を拠点に“ひと”に焦点を当てたローカルメディアづくりを通じて、地域だからこそ楽しめる・挑戦できる未来の選択肢を一つ一つ丁寧に創発し続けています。

北九州の「いま」を丁寧に伝える

成重さんは、北九州を拠点に編集者・ライターとして活動し、企業、スポーツ、地域、文化など幅広い分野で取材・執筆を行ってきました。2017年にはローカルWebメディア「キタキュースタイル」を立ち上げ、ビジネスや文化、エンタメなど分野横断で「北九州のいま」を丁寧に伝えています。また、2022年には株式会社プランチャを設立し、企業などのWebコンテンツの企画から取材・執筆・編集・発信までを一貫して支援しています。さらに、一般社団法人まちはチームだが運営に携わる小倉城で、広報にも関わっています。

“ひと”を起点に、地域の選択肢をつなぐ

そんな成重さんが大事にしているのは、地域にある“選択肢”を伝えつづけること。それはポジティブな側面もネガティブな側面も受け入れ、リスクにも向き合いながら、一人ひとりにとってより良い未来の可能性を探っていくプロセスです。だからこそ、中立的であること、そして誠実に“ひと”としてつながることも重視しています。その“ひと”が持つ想いに丁寧に耳を傾け、自らを媒介として、つながるべき“ひと”へと橋をかけていく。その積み重ねによって地域の信頼が紡がれ、そうした営みは、結果としてローカルメディアという形に昇華されてきました。

誰もが主役になれる地域の未来へ

地域のことを語る際、私たちはつい、響きの良い明るい話題に焦点を当てたくなります。あるいは、危機感を煽る刺激的なニュースに気を取られてしまうこともあります。また、異なる意見を持つ“ひと”を安易に批判してしまう場面も少なくありません。結果、情報は複雑に絡み合い、現実に何が起きているのかが見えにくくなっていく。そして、何が必要なのかを判断することはおろか、立ち止まって考えることすら難しくなってしまう。これは特定の地域に限った話ではなく、また“地域”というテーマに限ったものでもなく、いま世界中で起きている問題なのかもしれません。

だからこそ地域に向き合うとき、私たちに必要なことは、もっと根源的なことなのかもしれません。それは成重さんがそうしてきたように、地域にいる一人ひとりの“ひと”に丁寧に向き合うこと。そこに当たり前に存在する多様性を受け止めること。つまり、異なる意見を否定せず、本当に必要な選択肢を“ひと”のつながりから創発していくことです。その繰り返しが、地域の未来を少しずつ、しかし確実に拓いていきます。

それは誰もが主役になれる、“楽しい”から始まる未来づくりの一つの形。北九州だけでなく、他の地域でも、そして世界でも、こんなアクションをみんなで広げていきたいですね。

Creative Guild is a community of people who want to create enjoyable moments while living and working in many different places, with Minato City as a starting point. In the Guild Directory, we introduce some of the unique people connected through Creative Guild. This time, we feature Toshio Narishige, Representative Director of Plancha Inc. Based in Kitakyushu, he continues to create, one by one, future choices that allow people to enjoy life and take on challenges precisely because they are rooted in their local community. He does this through local media work centered on people.

Sharing “Kitakyushu Today” with Care

Narishige works as an editor and writer based in Kitakyushu and has conducted interviews and written across a wide range of fields, including business, sports, local communities, and culture. In 2017, he launched the local web media outlet Kitakyu Style, which carefully shares “Kitakyushu as it is today” across fields including business, culture, and entertainment. In 2022, he founded Plancha Inc., which provides end-to-end support for clients such as companies, from web content planning and interviews through writing, editing, and publishing. He is also involved in public relations for Kokura Castle, where Machi-Wa-Team-Da is involved in operations.

Connecting Community Choices Through People

What Narishige values is continuing to communicate the choices available within a community. It is a process of accepting both positive and negative aspects, facing risks, and exploring the possibility of a better future for each person. That is why he also values remaining neutral and connecting sincerely, person to person. He listens carefully to what matters to each person and acts as an intermediary, building bridges to the people with whom they should connect. Through these accumulated efforts, trust is woven across the community, and this work has ultimately taken shape as local media.

Toward a Future Where Everyone Can Play a Leading Role

When we talk about a region, we may be tempted to focus on bright, appealing stories. At other times, sensational news that stokes a sense of crisis may capture our attention. We may also be quick to criticize people whose opinions differ from our own. As a result, information becomes entangled, and it grows harder to see what is actually happening. We struggle not only to judge what is needed, but even to pause and think. This may not be a problem confined to any one region—or even to the theme of “regions” itself—but one unfolding around the world today.

That is why, when we engage with a community, what we need may be something more fundamental. As Narishige has done, it means taking the time to engage carefully with each person in the community. It means accepting the diversity that naturally exists there—without rejecting differing opinions—and allowing the choices that are truly needed to emerge through human connections. Repeating this process can open the future of a community, little by little but surely.

This is one way of shaping a future that begins with “fun,” where everyone can play a leading role. We hope to spread actions like these together—not only in Kitakyushu, but in other communities and around the world.
