まちをチームにしよう！
一般社団法人まちはチームだ と提案する新たな地域ブランディング・モデル

港区立産業振興センターのコミュニティ形成プログラムから派生し、“楽しい”から始まる未来づくりを推進してきたCreative Guild。2024年のコワーキング・カンファレンス・ジャパンを共催するなど、これまで連携を重ねてきたまちづくりプロフェッショナル集団、一般社団法人まちはチームだと新たにパートナーシップを結ぶことになりました。今後、地方創生の視点を活かしながら、港区と地域、そして地域と世界をつなぐアクションをともに展開していきます。

一般社団法人まちはチームだ は、福岡県北九州市の小倉駅前にあるコワーキングスペース秘密基地に集った、多様な経歴・年代・専門性を持つ実践者たちの共創により2016年に設立されました。以降、まちづくりに特化したベンチャーとして、人財育成プログラムの提供、各種イベントの企画・運営、地域のDX推進など、幅広く事業を展開しています。また2022年からは小倉城や勝山公園などの指定管理事業も担い、北九州の地域ブランド形成に大きく貢献しています。

実はCreative Guildのギルドマスターである渋谷 健は、まちはチームだ の設立から関わっています。むしろまちはチームだ の実践経験をもとに精査し、Creative Guildの活動へ応用をしています。いわば両社は兄弟のような関係性にあるのです。2024年はこうした関係性から、港区立産業振興センターの協力を得てコワーキング・カンファレンス・ジャパンを開催するに至っています。現在も、さまざまな分野で柔軟な連携施策を展開中です

昨今、産業や人口が都市部に集中し、人口減少も相まって地方の経済・コミュニティが縮小しています。私たちを取り巻く社会問題はますます複雑化しているのです。一方で”当たり前にありすぎて見えなくなっている特別な価値“が私たちの足元にはたくさんあります。重要なことはそれに気づき、向き合い、動き出すこと。ただし一人で、または単体の組織で、一つの地域でやるには限界があります。だからこそチームとしての共創が必要なのです。

まちはチームだ の取り組みは、まさにあらゆる垣根を超えてまちというチームで未来を創るもの。Creative Guildもその精神と強く深くつながっています。今回のパートナーシップは、少なくとも北九州市と港区に地域レベルでのホットラインが築かれ、地元に関わる関係者や他地域、海外を巻き込んでいく起点になっていくことが期待できます。ぜひこのつながりをみんなで活かして、より多様に広く、“楽しい”から始まる未来づくりを進めていきましょう。

Let’s Turn Our Towns into Teams!
A New Community Branding Model Proposed by “Machi-Wa-Team-Da”

Spun off from a community-building program at the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center, Creative Guild has championed the idea of creating a future where Everything begins with “fun.” We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Machi-Wa-Team-Da , a professional community-building collective that has partnered with us on various projects, including co-hosting the 2024 Coworking Conference Japan. Going forward, we will collaborate on initiatives that incorporate the perspective of regional revitalization (chihō sōsei), bridging Minato Ward with local communities and connecting those communities globally.

Machi-Wa-Team-Da was founded in 2016 in Kokura, near Kokura Station in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, by a diverse group of practitioners—spanning different ages, specialties, and backgrounds—who gathered at the Coworking Space “Himitsu Kichi” . Since then, it has evolved into a venture specializing in town development, offering human resource development programs, planning and operating various events, and advancing digital transformation (DX) in local areas. From 2022, it also began managing historical and cultural sites such as Kokura Castle and Katsuyama Park, making a significant contribution to Kitakyushu’s regional brand.

In fact, Creative Guild’s Guild Master, Takeshi Shibuya, has been involved with Machi-Wa-Team-Da since its inception. Much of Machi-Wa-Team-Da’s field-tested experience has been distilled and adapted into Creative Guild’s own activities—making the two organizations almost like siblings. Building on this relationship, and with the support of the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center, we are co-hosting the 2024 Coworking Conference Japan. Our flexible collaborations continue across various fields today.

Recently, industries and populations have become more concentrated in urban centers, exacerbating the contraction of local economies and communities—further compounded by population decline. Meanwhile, our society faces increasingly complex issues. At the same time, there is no shortage of “special value” we take for granted and therefore overlook. The key is to notice it, engage with it, and take action. Yet one person, one organization, or one region alone can only do so much. That’s why building collaborative “teams” is essential.

Machi-Wa-Team-Da is all about creating the future together as a “town team,” transcending every kind of boundary. Creative Guild shares that spirit on a deep level. Through this partnership, we are establishing at least one “hotline” between Kitakyushu and Minato Ward, aiming to involve local stakeholders, neighboring regions, and even overseas partners. We hope everyone will make the most of this new connection, expanding “fun-driven” futures in an ever more diverse and far-reaching way.
