“街歩き”からディープにつながろう。
芳田 一穂さんの地域とみんなでつくる温かいホスピタリティ

港区を起点に、いろんなところで働く・暮らす人たちが、楽しい時間を創り合うコミュニティCreative Guild。このギルド名鑑では、そんなCreative Guildでつながったユニークな方々をご紹介しています。今回ご紹介するのは、街歩きガイドのプロフェッショナル、芳田 一穂さん。地域のディープなつながりを大切にしながら、「案内する」のではなく「みんなでつくる」ホスピタリティの新しい形を、街歩きを通じて探究しています。

芳田さんは、2007年に東京シティガイド検定に合格。その後、外資系企業に勤めながら、NPO法人東京シティガイドクラブでの活動や港区観光ボランティアを通じて、観光ガイドとしての経験を積んできました。大手旅行会社主催ツアーや修学旅行、大学講座、港区主催イベントなどでガイドを務めるほか、港区のまちづくり施策の検討にも参加。現在は「祝蘭（しゅくらん）」の屋号で、港区を中心に、街歩きツアーやイベントの企画・運営を行っています。

そんな芳田さんが大切にしているのは、「ディープに関わること」。それは、誰もが主体者として対等に、公平に、立場や年代、国籍といった境界を越えて“ひと”とつながり、より深く地域を知り、新しい体験を共につくり出していくプロセスです。同時にそれは、互いに無理をせず、心地よく過ごせる関係性の中で、人の温かさからホスピタリティを育んでいくことでもあります。

私たちの暮らしは便利になり、情報も体験も「効率よく消費」できるようになりました。一方で、地域との関係や人とのつながりは少しずつ薄れ、街は「知っているのに、実はよく知らない場所」へと変わりつつあります。そこでは“ひと”と“ひと”の関係性も表面的で形式的なものにとどまり、対話や寄り道の中から生まれてきたはずの、新しい発見や創造の芽が育ちにくくなっています。

結局のところ、地域をつくっているのは“ひと”です。だからこそ、芳田さんのように、街歩きという参加ハードルの低い、けれど実は奥深いアプローチで、人を無理なく巻き込み、ディープにつないでいく実践はとても効果的と言えます。なにより、その企画から実践、振り返りまでのすべてのプロセスが“楽しい”。そして、その楽しさが次の“楽しい”を自然に呼び込み、人と人とのつながりを広げていきます。Creative Guildでも、このアプローチをぜひ実践していきたいですね。

Let’s Connect More Deeply—Through “City Walks”
Warm, Co-Created Hospitality with Kazuho Yoshida

Creative Guild is a community based in Minato City, Tokyo, where people who live and work in many different places come together to create enjoyable moments in their everyday lives. In this Guild Directory, we introduce unique individuals connected through Creative Guild. This time, we feature Kazuho Yoshida, a professional city-walking guide who is reimagining hospitality through shared exploration. By valuing deep local connections, she explores a new form of hospitality—not by “guiding” people, but by creating experiences together through walking the city.

Kazuho earned his Tokyo City Guide certification in 2007. While working for a multinational company, she steadily built his experience as a guide through activities with the NPO Tokyo City Guide Club and as a Minato City tourism volunteer. Over the years, she has guided tours organized by major travel agencies, school trips, university courses, and Minato City–hosted events, while also participating in discussions on local urban development. Today, under the name Shukuran, she plans and hosts city walks and events mainly in Minato City.

What Kazuho values most is deep engagement. For him, this means creating a process where everyone—regardless of background, age, position, or nationality—can participate as equals, connect with one another, gain a deeper understanding of the local area, and co-create new experiences. At the same time, it is about cultivating hospitality rooted in human warmth—relationships where people can feel comfortable, unforced, and at ease.

Our lives have become more convenient, and information and experiences can now be “consumed” efficiently. Yet, as a result, our connections with local communities and with one another have gradually thinned. Cities are turning into places we think we know—but don’t truly understand. Human relationships become superficial and formal, and the seeds of discovery and creativity that once grew from conversation and detours are harder to nurture.

In the end, communities are shaped by people. That is why practices like Kazuho’s—using city walks as a low-barrier yet surprisingly profound way to bring people together—are so effective. They invite participation naturally and foster deep connections. Above all, every step of the process—from planning to experiencing to reflecting—is genuinely fun. That enjoyment gives rise to the next moment of fun, expanding connections from person to person. At Creative Guild, we would love to put this approach into practice ourselves.
