「世界と日本を混ぜてみよう」ヨリミチ部 7月の部会！！

インバウンド急増のトレンドをチャンスに変える鍵は、文化と人を“混ぜる”ことにありました。あいにくの大雨にも関わらず、港区立産業振興センターで、オンラインとリアル合わせて50名以上の参加者がつながり、その本質を探求。ローカルとグローバルの本質的な意味を共有し、新しい”楽しい”が始まる一夜となりました。

2025年7月10日に開催した今回のヨリミチ部。ドリンクとスナック片手にまずはアイスブレイクから始まり、港区立産業振興センターとCreative Guildの最新ニュースをシェア。ヨリミチ部が各種イベントに参加した方達の再結合点になってきていることは一つの面白みです。 そして、定番となってきているオープン・ピッチへ。今回は神社の保存活動を、東日本大震災以降続けている映像クリエイターの数間 よし乃さん。ドキュメンタリー映画「継承」を通じて神社をはじめとする地域文化を守っていくことの大切さを伝えてくれました。 （オープン・ピッチの詳細レポトートは以下リンクを参照ください。）

後半は3人のユニークなゲストをお招きしたトークセッションへ。ニューヨーク出身で現在日本でのインバウンド事業を展開しているGlokyoのアレックス・ナイさん。港区の観光大使も務め、人力車夫としても活躍している田中宏典さん。そしてソーシャル・ハブの実現を目指す、事業創造コーディネーター 山口郁子さん。異なる観点から、インバウンドの本質を探究していきました。

そこから見えてきたものは、“ひと”のつながりの重要性。そしてローカルとはそのひとの日常のストーリーを紡ぐ関係性であり。グローバルとは異なるストーリーに触れる体験を表す言葉だという深い気づきがありました。そしてこの関係性をつないでいくためには、表面的な交流ではなく、リアルな日常を共有する時間を持つことが重要だということ。そしてその場に参加する余白と、ちょっとの勇気がとても重要だという共通認識を得ることができました。（トークセッションの詳細レポートは以下を参照ください。）

会場は深い対話が進みながらも、終始リラックスした雰囲気。もちろん活気十分で、英語と日本語が自然と混ざり、言葉の壁も超えて打ち解けていきました。またAIも活用して参加者も交えた気づきがリアルタイムで整理され、共通の文脈を紡げたことは、”楽しい’から始まる未来づくりの確かな土台になっています。今後もますます多様性の輪を広げて、本当の意味でのローカルとグローバルを体感できる場づくり、みんなで仕掛けていきましょう！

YORIMICHI Club July Meeting Report: A Vision for Local × Global

The key to transforming the surge in inbound tourism into an opportunity lies in mixing cultures and people. Despite the unfortunate heavy rain, over 50 participants connected both online and in person at the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center to explore this essential concept. It was a night where we shared the true meaning of “local” and “global,” and new “fun” began to emerge.

The YORIMICHI Club on July 10, 2025, started with an icebreaker over drinks and snacks, followed by the latest news from the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center and Creative Guild. One interesting aspect is how the YORIMICHI Club is becoming a re-connection point for people who have participated in various events. This led into our now-regular open pitch session. This time, we heard from Yoshino Kazuma, a video creator who has been involved in shrine preservation activities since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Through her documentary film “Keisho” (Succession), she conveyed the importance of protecting regional culture, including shrines. The latter half of the event featured a talk session with three unique guests: Alex Nye from Glokyo, a New York native currently developing inbound tourism businesses in Japan; Hironori Tanaka, a Minato City Tourism Ambassador and active rickshaw puller; and Ikuko Yamaguchi, a business creation coordinator aiming to realize social hubs. From their diverse perspectives, we delved into the essence of inbound tourism.

What emerged from this discussion was the crucial importance of human connections. We gained profound insight: “local” represents the relationships that weave together people’s everyday stories, while “global” describes the experience of encountering different stories. To foster these connections, it’s vital to share real daily life rather than just superficial interactions. We also reached a common understanding that having the space to participate and a little courage are extremely important. (Please see below for a detailed report on the talk session.)

The venue maintained a relaxed atmosphere throughout, even as deep conversations unfolded. The energy was high, with English and Japanese naturally blending, breaking down language barriers and fostering a sense of familiarity. Furthermore, by utilizing AI, insights from participants were organized in real-time, helping to weave a shared context. This laid a solid foundation for future-building that starts with “fun.” Let’s continue to expand our circle of diversity and work together to create spaces where we can truly experience both local and global!
