考えすぎずに、まずはゆるくつながることから始めよう。｜JPBV × Creative Guild交流会レポート

何かを始める前に、まずは一緒に食べて、話して、知り合ってみる。そんな時間から、次の可能性が見えてくるかもしれません。

2026年9月25日、JPBV（価値を大切にする金融実践者の会）とCreative Guildで「小さな交流会＆BBQ」を開催しました。URUUにスペースをご提供いただき、金融関係者5名と、日本を拠点に独自の専門性やサービスを持つ海外出身のビジネスオーナーたちが集まりました。

参加したのは、ギルド名鑑でもご紹介している江上広行さん、ヘザー・ドビンさん、岩渕ラーナさん、アレックス・ナイさん、ダニエル・シンガーさん、ルカ・サッコーニャさん、境裕治さんなど。異なる分野で活動する仲間が、同じテーブルを囲みました。

まずは、一人の人として知り合う

この場で大切にしたのは、営業や商談ではなく、まず一人の人として知り合うこと。それぞれの「得意なこと」「やりたいこと」「困っていること」を共有し、自由に話し合いました。

最初から協業の形を決めるのではなく、相手が何を大切にし、どんな想いで活動しているのかを知る。気軽に相談できる関係を、少しずつつくっていく時間です。

違う専門性の先にあった、地域への共通の想い

話す中で見えてきたのは、「地域社会や中小企業を支えたい」という共通の想いでした。地域の人や事業に寄り添い、人と人をつないで未来を支える。それは、JPBVが大切にするコミュニティ・バンクの方向性とも重なります。

日本の地域文化や歴史に敬意を持ち、自分の専門性を活かして貢献したいと考える海外出身の仲間たち。その想いと、地域に根ざした金融のつながりが出会えば、互いの得意なことを活かせる場面も増えていきそうです。

国籍や業種の違いを越えて、共通の願いから始まる協働に、可能性を感じました。

そして、BBQを担当してくれたのは江上さん。BBQの資格も取得したとのことで、腕を振るってくださいました。

食卓を囲み、食べながら話すひととき。会場も料理も支えてくださった江上さんとURUU、参加した皆さんに感謝です。

今回の集まりは、越境的なコミュニティからアクションを始めるための、小さな一歩になったと感じています。今後も、こうした場を定期的に設けていく予定です。

JPBV × Creative Guild Gathering Report: Where Finance Met Diverse Perspectives

Before trying to create something together, sometimes the best place to start is simply to eat, talk, and get to know one another. New possibilities can emerge from moments like these.

On September 25, 2026, JPBV and Creative Guild held a small gathering and BBQ at URUU. Five people from the financial sector joined business owners from international backgrounds who are based in Japan and bring a wide range of expertise, services, and experiences.

Among the participants were Creative Guild Directory members Hiroyuki Egami, Heather Dobbin, Rana Iwabuchi, Alex Nye, Daniel Singer, Luca Sacconia, and Yuji Sakai, along with other guests. People working across finance, business support, leadership development, cross-cultural collaboration, and other fields gathered around the same table.

Getting to know the person before the business

The purpose of the gathering was not sales or formal business matching. We wanted to begin by meeting each other simply as people. Participants shared what they are good at, what they want to do, and what challenges they are currently facing.

Rather than deciding on a collaboration from the beginning, we took time to understand what each person values and what motivates their work. It was a chance to build relationships where people can talk and ask for help naturally.

Different expertise, a shared interest in local communities

One common thread became clear through the conversation: a desire to support local communities and small and medium-sized businesses. That spirit also connects with JPBV’s emphasis on community-oriented finance and relationships rooted in local places.

Several international participants also spoke from a deep respect for Japan’s local culture and history, while bringing their own professional expertise and global perspectives. When those perspectives meet locally rooted financial networks, new forms of collaboration may become possible.

Good food makes conversation easier

Hiroyuki Egami took charge of the BBQ, putting his newly acquired BBQ qualification to good use. Sharing a table and enjoying food together made conversation feel even more natural.

This gathering felt like a small first step toward action emerging from a cross-boundary community. We plan to continue creating opportunities like this on a regular basis.
