多様性×プレイバックシアター！心つないだ8月のヨリミチ部

8月のヨリミチ部は「ことばを超える・こころをつなぐ。」をテーマに、オリーシャ・キリュチュックさんによるプレイバックシアターの体験を共有。会場とオンラインあわせて70名が参加し、世代や国籍を超えて心がつながる瞬間が生まれました。言葉に頼らず互いの思いを表現し合う中で、あたたかい未来を体感するひとときとなりました。

2025年8月14日、夏休み真っ只中で開催された今回のヨリミチ部。港区立産業振興センターやCreative Guildからの最新アップデートのあと、まずはオープンピッチでダニエル・シンガーさんが「外国人と日本人が共に生きるためのコミュニティづくり」を提案。日本にいる外国人と日本人が相互理解と信頼を築くことの大切さと可能性が共有され、来場者から多くの共感が寄せられました。

そしてメインセッションでは、オリーシャさんらによるプレイバックシアター。終戦記念日の前日という特別なタイミングで、戦争をきっかけにウクライナから日本に移り住んだオリーシャさんたちと場を共有することは大きな意味を持ちます。それは言葉で語るものではなく、心で感じる体験であり、あたたかい未来につながるものでした。プレイバックシアターの時間は、まさにその温かさを分かち合うひとときとなりました。

当日は会場に50名、オンラインからも20名が参加し、国籍や世代を超えた多様な人々が集いました。親子連れや経営者、シニアなど立場もさまざまでしたが、互いに笑顔で心を通わせ、言葉にとらわれないコミュニケーションを体験。参加者からは「今までに感じたことのない一体感があった」「純粋に楽しかった」「言葉を超える喜びが実感できた」といった声が寄せられ、来場者同士の次なるアクションもすでに動き出していました。

今回のイベントから得られた大きな学びは、コミュニケーションは必ずしも言葉に依存するものではなく、心を開き合い体験を共有することで深くつながれるということです。年齢や国籍、肩書の違いを超えて、人と人がフラットに向き合えば、新しい未来を共に描けることを参加者全員で体感しました。この共感の力こそが、平和であたたかい社会を築く原点となると示されました。

今回のヨリミチ部で生まれた「多様性を力に変えるつながり」の体験は、次なる挑戦の大きな原動力となります。今後も国籍や世代、立場を越えてフラットにつながれる場を継続的に育み、共に未来を描く実践を広げていきたいと考えています。参加者同士の新たなアクションもすでに動き出しており、この流れをさらに発展させ、多様性から生まれる可能性を共創していきます。

Diversity × Playback Theatre! A Heart-Connecting Yorimichi Club in August

In August, Yorimichi Club gathered under the theme “Beyond Words, Connecting Hearts” with a special Playback Theatre session led by Olesya Kyrylchukand her fellow actors. Around 70 participants joined both on-site and online, experiencing heartfelt moments that transcended generations and nationalities. Without relying on words, participants expressed and shared their feelings, creating a warm glimpse into a hopeful future together.

Held on August 14, 2025, right in the middle of summer vacation, this month’s Yorimichi Club began with updates from Minato City Industrial Promotion Center and Creative Guild. The evening kicked off with an Open Pitch by Daniel Singer, who shared his vision for building communities where Japanese and foreigners can live and grow together. He emphasized the importance and potential of fostering mutual understanding and trust, which resonated strongly with the audience and sparked excitement for future actions.

The main session featured a Playback Theatre performance led by Olesya and her team. Taking place on the eve of Japan’s Memorial Day for the end of WWII, sharing this space with Olesya —who came to Japan because of the war in Ukraine—carried a deep significance. It was less about words and more about feeling, a reminder that true connections are built heart-to-heart. The performance offered a moving experience of empathy and hope, embodying the warmth of a shared future.

About 50 participants on-site and 20 online joined the event. Families with children, business leaders, seniors, and people from diverse backgrounds all came together, smiling and connecting beyond language barriers. Many participants shared that they had “never felt such a sense of unity before,” that it was “pure joy,” and that they truly experienced “the happiness of connecting beyond words.” New collaborative actions among participants have already begun to take shape.

The key takeaway from this event was that communication does not depend solely on words. True connection happens when people open their hearts and share experiences together. By looking beyond age, nationality, or status, and by meeting each other as equals, we can co-create a better future. This collective experience reaffirmed that the power of empathy is the foundation of a warm and peaceful society.

This month’s Yorimichi Club became a powerful reminder that diversity can turn into strength when it transforms into genuine human connections. Going forward, we aim to continue fostering inclusive spaces where people from all walks of life can meet as equals and co-create the future. With participants already taking new steps forward, we are excited to see the possibilities that will spark from these encounters.
